People who can't dance hate this film

I think this movie is highly underrated. People just hate on it because they don't appreciate good dance moves. I snuck a cup of orange sherbert into the theatre when I saw it on opening night and I was so blown away by the first dance scene that I dropped it all over the floor(what a mess). But I also had an extra large popcorn. This guy sitting next to me would get an erection everytime Omarion did a spin or a knee-slide and that was a bit uncomfortable, but it didn't ruin the overall experience. I think everyone should watch this movie again and then vote 10.

P.S. Does anyone know if they will be filming a sequel.

The reason i hate this movie is because the only good parts about it are the dance moves, because its insulting that 4 tha 20 minutes of dance moves they hve i have to sit through an hour and ten minutes of crappy dialogue and pointless drama. plus i could go down the damn street to see people dancing, y didnt they just put the beginning dance scene and them watching the video, after thatshow a rocky montage but in dance form, cutting between the 2 main characters, then youd have a good 30 minute movie on your hands

So, what you're saying is: the dancing is good, and the rest don't matter, so everyone should rate this movie a 10 because those who can't dance are jealous?

So, take the dancing out of the movie (yes, I know it's the main plot) -- do you still think it was a good movie?

yea, i totally agree with you, because most of the voters here in imdb are old people who doesnt know the meaning of hiphop =). personally, i really didnt like this movie because i really dont like its genre.. you know, ghetto watchamacalit.. im not into those stuff and because of that, i didnt understand what the movie is talking about. but i gave this movie a 7/10 because i understand that only people influenced by the hiphop music are the only ones who will watch, understand or like this movie. =) the voting results of this movie really proved that most imdb voters are aged 30 above. HAHA

A little less of that "potz" in the future, okey dokey?

Just because the film (and I use that word loosely) has a few sweet dance moves, does not make it a good movie. The acting is terrible. Half the time I couldn't even understand what was being said. Don't the speak English, "in the street?"

i'm not gonna lie, i liked this movie. the storyline was awful, and full of plotholes, but the dancing was really good. AND it had B2K (and marques houston!!!) in it. i think that saved it from being a 0 on the rating.

I haven’t seen this yet, but I doubt it is as bad as people say because they also said that Step Up (1&2) were awful too and they definitely were not.

I think that if these movies came out around now, they would do much better because dancing is much more popular these days with shows So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing With the Stars, etc. doing so well, and everyone trying to exercise more because everybody’s so damn fat.

thats not true, i can dance and i hated this film. absolute *beep* the dance scenes were good, but u cant only rely on them to save a movie...terribly acted by everyone...

stick to step up 1 & 2, and stomp the yard...much better films

But so do people who hate bad movies.

They're not mutually exclusive subsets, you see...
