OMG! This movie has got to be one of the absolute worst movies EVER!! I don't find a movie I can't finish very often, but this one was definately one. I usually can force myself to finish, but it was at the ass-mark scene that I could no longer stomach it.

This movie had a brilliant beginning. Young JB singing rock and MEATLOAF as his religious father telling him Rock was of the devil. It had SUCH promise... Where did it go wrong? How did it go soooo far off track!

I expected it to be a bit stupid, after all it's Jack Black, and I like Jack Black. Nacho Libre was hilarious up to the last fifteen minutes, where it, too, took a nose-dive into the crapper.

Jack Black seems to be a great starter, but cannot close the deal.

I for one loved every second of this movie. This is one movie I saw in the theater multiple times (the one week it was actually in the theatre) and I want a sequel.

I have not seen The Pick Of Destiny. I want to see it. As long as there are several funny or good scenes and more than a few good songs,the whole movie doesn't have to be very funny. I know it's a vulgar and gross movie. I like Jack Black's movies/acting performances. Is He good in The Holiday?

i thought that the role jack black has in the holiday wasn't the best, but i also don't think it could be played by anybody better. the character lacked simply because he wasn't given a great enough role.

I loved this movie, it totally kicks ass. But I'm also a pretty big fan of The D.

Having said that, if this were my first exposure to The D I would have found a lot of it lame, moronic, and just plain digusting.

But I saw the movie after developing a taste for Jack and Kyle's brand of humor. And I'm glad they made a movie for Tenacious D fans, instead of re-inventing the D as a mainstream act.

I certainly understand a lot of this criticism, though.

I don't know what you're talking about, this movie was great. It also had a really good ending. Anybody who liked their show on HBO would love this movie. I didn't even think it was all stupid humor either, a lot of stuff from the movie that had me laughing was just the way Jack Black said something, or a facial expression he made. He can make anything he does funny somehow.
