And that's probably the main reason this movie wasn't good. I thought there were some entertaining moments and characters but when I didn't give a crap what happened to Jerome, who happens to be the main character. The undercover cop and Malcovich were the best parts.
"Anybody Wanna' Waste Some Time?"
I thought the same thing about the main character of the previous film by Clowes & Zigwoff, Ghost World. Yet everybody loved that silly bitch to bits. As it was, the only interesting thing about this movie was seeing Enid (Thora Birch) barefoot for a few minutes.

There's a certain glee that you get when Jerome is crushed by the girl at the art show and he starts crying. If Jerome looked too cool then you would actually feel bad for him in that scene.
