Anyone else satisfied with how the movie ended? (SPOILER)
Was anyone else besides me satisfied with the fact that Johnny Depp went and killed his ex-wife and her other man? I actually was cheering! Anyone else?

Well the very ending, the final scene, was actually kind of delightfully nihilistic. But what had come just before... horribly trite and cliche. The film started out like real crap with terribly corny dialogue and acting, then picked up when the screws tightened and Turturro showed up to steal another movie even though his character was ultimately a complete waste, a footnote... it looked like a thriller that coulda gotten somewhere, but then, of course, it resolved into being another total head case. One can only guess Mr King was closely involved in the production... and wisdom suggests he really shouldn't be as he really don't know sh-t from shinolah when it comes down to it (in many ways, what was heard & seen, much resembled his monumentally bungled handiwork in The Shining miniseries). Never read any of his scribblings, but it would appear it's just as hokey and clumsy as that.

One of my favorite endings in a movie based on a Stephen King book. I think another one is Pet Cemetery.

I just saw again last night for the first time in awhile. I've ALWAYS loved the ending. Not because I was happy to see two people die, which is a strange part of this thread. It's just because it's kinda cool to see a movie where the killer totally gets away with it.
He is forever a pariah in that town, but he could care less. He's just gonna keep writing and chowing down that corn. Morbidly fascinating ending!
In all honesty in reality he would be caught because eventually the cops would get reason to check his property an the moment they do all they have to do is check the garden which would be the first choice people like the fact they died because they are cheaters an people know movies arent real so they project what they would like to do in real life into the characters in the film an most people want to kill cheaters
shareThis is a crappy movie, but I did feel satisfied with him killing the ex-wife and her lover.
