I just rented it last night. I thought it was great! - - SPOILER!!!

I love stories like that. Stories with a twist. It completely fooled me.

Did anyone notice the ending was a complete COPY of the lady killers? That's just something ot think about. The film however made he hate women, especially ones that do this kind of bs like killing your best friend for the cash and then killing the man who killed his best friend. Oh yeah and next time you watch it, stay put after the credits and you will soon find out the blonde lesbians get their just desserts.

This movie was horrible. I just dont understand why his wife broke up with him if she was planning to kill him after he robbed the bank.

I don't understand why Dave Foley, who was in 2 scenes, somehow became a main character.

I don't understand how Steve Zahn could possibly be considered funny in this movie. In other movies, he is, but not in this one. His rants and raves would be better suited for a preteen weblog than a live motion picture.

Basically, I hated the movie. And all the twists and turns in the end where alright at first, and then there were so many of them that I stopped being surprised, and stopped caring about the characters.

Because, that's what HE was trying to get done. He thought he had accomplished that. But really, it was a set-up, because his wife knew what he was wanting, and did that to make him believe that his plan was going according.

That happens in a lot of movies. They needed him to 'change' the dental records.

Well, this is a dark comedy for you. Don't get me wrong, I watch all kinds of movies. But then you probably do not like dark comedys.

I love this movie. And I couldn't agree more about the rest of what you said. All the twists and turns were very good, and surprising at first. But A)During the robbery, I knew that Steve Zahn was one of the robbers. His voice is clearly heard. B)I had an idea that Matt Dillon was in on it, while the police were talking to Christina Appelgate, but was praying it wouldn't sink to that level to just give us a shock. C)I knew during the final scene with Steve Zahn and Matt Dillon, that Matt was going to waste Steve. I also knew Matt's girlfriend was going to waste him, and after his girlfriend left, and went to pick someone up, I knew it was Christina Appelgate. Then, I knew they were going to get hit by a bus. And I wouldn't lie about knowing what was going to happen either, because after all, I'm taking up for this movie.

I really wish it would have stopped while he was pissing on the portrait at the bank, and taken a different toll. Like when Matt Dillon beat up those guys outside of the bar, and Steve Zahn was banging that girl in the parking lot, and the coroner came and made him that proposition. I loved that stuff. I loved the movie. The last 15 minutes just needed to be altered.

I agree with you. I enjoyed the movie, but the ending was just too contrived, at least on first viewing (and I've only watched it once). I didn't predict all the twists you did, but most of them. I didn't know Zahn was one of the robbers, but I suspected the robbery was not a surprise to Dillon up until the point where he shot one of the robbers. My next suspicion that Dillon was in on it, and may have survived, came when yours did, when the police were talking to Applegate. I knew Dillon was going to waste Zahn, but didn't suspect his girlfriend was going to waste him in turn. When she picked someone up, I knew it had to be Applegate, and I knew at that point that they were going to be hit by a bus just because of the line Dillon had narrated earlier.

Don't know what else would have made a better ending, but I'm sure there could have been one. Still, I like this movie for the abundance of quotable quotes it contains. Even if it comes tied up with a garish bow at the end, the package is still appreciated.
