Rachel Wood was originally cast in Hilary's part. That would have made the movie even better.
I loved "Raise Your Voice". Wonderful story that made me laugh, cry and think.

it reminds me of me and my brother and thats why i cry. i mean, my brother is living and all.

I watched this movie for the very first time last night on the ENCORE channel . Also found it to be very entertaining and it kept my attention to the very end . It had an inspiring storyline along with an encouraging overall message . Also with excellent and uniquely styled musicians & singers using interesting mixes of instruments and electronics together . This IMPO was a film that most age groups from teenagers to adults could watch . It definitely gives you a sense of appreciation and interest in different styles of music as well . So I would totally recommend this for people who enjoy musical films with talented artists such as this one had . Thanks so much guinevere_pink for your subject post .
