I really did like this movie. It annoys me when people decide to bash a movie that is really quite good just because its actress was someone that freaked with the sudden fame and sold out.
I'd like to see you guys pushed into the limelight, suddenly on the cover of all the magazines and do much of a better job.
In a few weeks I'll be 14, and I cried at this movie. I've only cried at this and RENT when Angel dies.
This movie was seriously underrated, and you closed-minded people need to simmer down and actually /watch/ the movie, not just concentrate on Miss Duff.
I loved this film a lot, and it wasn't just the storyline that was touching, it was Hilary Duff's acting. I thought she handled this film really well and made people relate well to the story.
One of my top 5 films!

I REALLY LIKED THIS MOVIE!!!!!
I am 22 and I cannot stand films like this. I was babysitting some of my neighbours kids and they put Raise your Voice on. I was only partly watching it as I had an essay to do, but later on when they went to bed I put it back on again.
This is not a great film, it does not deserve awards, it is however a good film, and does not deserve the comments written about it. It was made for kids, it was made to inspire a young audience, and it is very simply a Hilary Duff film. She is good at what she does, and inspires kids to be more than they are, inspires kids to sing, to act, where is the fault with that.
Take the film as what it is and nothing more and you cannot fault it.

shareThe only thing that made this movie worth watching was Kiwi, as well as his relationship with Sloan (I think that was her name). Other then that, I thought it wasn't all that great... except for maybe the major incest signals Terri and her brother were letting off. I mean, come on... I can't be the only one who saw that. Oh, and the Dad couldn't act. He showed absolutely no emotion through the whole movie, except for maybe when she was singing at the end. Other then that, he was just annoying.

i really liked this movie. i mean, it did have a pretty predictable outcome and it was kind of a typical movie, but for some reason i really liked it.

Anyway i watched it last night and out of ten i would give it a seven and i have to say that it is a very good movie, so there!!
