Do people actually like this film?

I agree with this. It’s not outstanding or anything, but it takes itself seriously, creates its own nice little world and is solid enough throughout.

I think of it like the Brendon Fraser Mummy film. It’s a good action movie that I like and will come back to from time to time. However, it is not something amazing that I feel the desire to dissect and talk about with others. It is simply a fun film that I like.

This, I always have to sheepishly tell people that Constantine is quite literally one of my favorite movies ever lol. Also yup, this is where I learned to appreciate Peter Stormare. I love seeing him in action. It was amusing also to go back and watch older movies and realize he played a number of minor, memorable roles for me, but I just didn't know who he was at the time (9mm, Minority Report, Armageddon, to name a few).
