Best of Korea (Rate your top 5)

I have seen only a handful of films from Korea, but so far they are all very well-made. Korea has really put itself on the cinematic map in the last decade. What are some of the best Korean films you have seen to date?

My top 5
1. Oldboy
2. Memories of Murder
3. Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring
4. The Host
5. Oasis

I can not believe Public Enemy ("Gonggongui jeog" (2002)) is not on anyone's list!!! Kang Chul-Joong is the BEST KOREAN CHARACTER EVER MADE!!!!! []

I almost totally agree with you.

And I'm totally unable to make top 5, even top 10. There are at least 15 movies I would call them "must-a-see", so I won't spoil the topic.

These are all of the Korean movies I've watched so far. Out of the eight I really liked the first seven. The Host was the only disappointment for me. A Tale of Two Sisters, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, and A Bittersweet Life are next in line.

Just started watching Korean films not too long ago so there isn't a terrible amount for me to choose from, but I'd have to say..

The Good, The Bad, and the Weird
Mother
The Chaser
Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance
The Host

Nobody mentioned City Of Violence, which as cheesy as it is, was really great. To those who are trying to act like Old Boy wasn't that good, shut up, we all know it was great. Just because a lot of people liked it doesn't mean it's not as good.
