kurt russell ruined the character

anyone find russell's portrayal of Herb Brooks way over the top? russell is/was a fine actor, but this part just wasnt for him. it seemed forced most of the time and didnt suit his temperament at all. denzel washington did a far better job as a Boone in remember the titans.

Whenever I think I'd like to live to be 100, I remember that will mean that there will just be that many more young, undereducated, clueless morons running around who would be annoying me. Thank you for reminding me that a loooong life is definitely overrated!

I know nothing about the real Herb Brooks. All I know is that Russell was excellent in this movie. One of my favorite performances of his.

I thought Russell did a good job... BUT, I found Brooks' character to be so unlikeable and such an a-hole (even to his lovely wife) that it actually effected how much I liked the movie. He was just a dick lol. Was Brooks really that unlikeable in real life? I'm not familiar enough with him or the true story to know either way.

Kurt Russell was definitely not over the top (why would anyone say that he ruined the character unless a troll) but ON top of things in this movie, giving an excellent and actually subtle performance - maybe his best ever and had deserved an Oscar nomination.

I thought Russell was terrific in this role.

This original post, this one right here, is to me the most clear and definative example of someone posting something THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE F THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT.

Dude, I know you’ll never read this but if you ever again want to post something similar, at the very least do some advance comparison work to avoid coming off as 100% clueless.

Having Russell play Brooks is something Hollywood got right. Sorry it wasn't a black lesbian, or some AIDS infested Fag playing Herb.
