Movies similar to Eternal Sunshine

If you're looking for something that is confusing with mixed up scenes (in the same kind of way that The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is), then i would definitely recommend the film Requiem for a Dream. Warning, it is pretty profound, but an awesome film nonetheless!

all 3 are surreal and trippy. the first one is a love story. the second two are thrillers. hope ya like em.

I'd check out "Frequency". It has Dennis Quaid, and Jim Caviezel in it. It kind of has more to do with with like time traveling. But still very good. Reminds me Of this film.

You also ought to read the stories of Philip K. Dick. Total Recall and Blade Runner are both based on stories of his, but Eternal Sunshine actually comes a lot closer to the feel of his fiction than either of those two films do. He wasn't all that interested in action or in vivid imaginings of future societies. His stories were much more likely to feature introspective, surreal journeys across dream worlds, much like this movie does.

"Donnie Darko" kinda has some similar vibes. it's a very sureal, interesting and makes you think a lot about it after you've finished watching it.

The film that reminds me of Eternal Sunshine the most is Upstream Colour. It's another amazing, emotional sci-fi romance with beautiful visuals, a complex plot and non-chronological storytelling.
Also, Another Earth and Monsters are both good romances set against Sci-Fi backdrops.
