Pride and Prejudice? Probably one of the most overrated book/movies of all time.
1. When Harry Met Sally
2. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
3. Titanic
4. Annie Hall
5. A Room With a View
6. Bridges of Madison County(Book not movie)
7. Moulin Rouge
8. Gone with the Wind
9. Ethan Frome (Book not movie)
10.Spiderman
I think the Notebook is a tad overrated....the only good scene is when he takes her in the bog/lake with the swans and trees.
the notebook seemed great when i saw it for the first time but seemed boring the second time and not so good
shareTwilight....
JUST KIDDING
Definitely Casablanca.
For British eyes only
I agree with the 12 posters who said Gone With The Wind.
I agree with the 4 posters who said When Harry Met Sally.
I agree with Prom Queen Carrie who said The Way We Were.
To susico: I'm sorry that this is a "tragic love story", but I'm really surprised that no one mentioned Love Story. Watching it in 2010 shows horrible acting by Ali MacGraw, but in 1970 it was the ultimate love story.
To Mikaela90:, you said "The Notebook, I mean, I love this movie mostly for the parts between the old couple". If anyone else agrees that this is the best part of The Notebook, you absolutely have to watch Away From Her with Gordon Pinsent and Julie Christie. It has a similar storyline as the older Allie and Noah. And if The Notebook made you cry, make sure you have the tissues ready for Away From Her.
The Phantom of the opera, definatly
Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today
Your own :)
shareI'm a bit unconventional so to me the greatest love story is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind because it's honest. Love isn't perfect and people tend to forget that and it takes true love to stay with someone despite their imperfections and neuroticisms. Also Before Sunrise/Sunset are great love stories and of course the Notebook.

Titanic. The Notebook is GREAT, but it just doesn't have the deep passion and tragedy that Titanic does.
