I absolutely HATE this movie

I read the book first and loved it to bits. So you can imagine my horror when I saw how badly they misinterpreted the entire story to look like a second-rate sideshow. It looks really cheap, cartoony, cheesy, and absolutely insulting to the novel. The only thing this mess has in common is the basic storyline and the characters' names. Every person who decided on the changes to this story should be hung for ruining a good story, and Gail Carson Levine should be horse-whipped for not putting in her contract creative control.

While you are entitled to your opinion, I don't think anyone should be hanged(which is the correct term) or horsewhipped. Personally, I really enjoyed this movie and so did a lot of other people.

Believe it or not, that’s as close as you will ever see to a measured, thoughtful statement from AG26. Normally we would be treated to an almighty rant calling everyone involved either a slut or a bitch. Hangings and horse-whippings is her version of being polite.

For what it’s worth, I didn’t love the movie either, but I don’t remember it urging me to call for physical violence towards the filmmakers 🙄
