Looney Tunes Back in Action or Space Jam

I think Space Jam is better.

Space Jam is better, hands down!

Looney Tunes: Back in Action

I totally hated Space Jam; thought it was so dumb and contrived.

BiA flowed better, and captured the old style more. It was funnier, and punchier.

I am - SUPERFLUOUS!!!

I agree Back in Action is way better, I laughed so much, Tex Avery would have been proud...

In Space Jam humans seemed forced when interacting with toons, besides it became old too fast...

Of course, I will alwaqys love Space Jam a THOUSAND times better.

Space Jam had the Looney Tunes in a seperate world from ours, which i thought was very cool.

Anyone who says Space Jam was better needs to be fired out of a cannon and into the sun.

Back in action was way better, space jam was good to watch when you were a kid, but back in action can be enjoyed by adults who grew up with the old looney tunes stuff too, and there is no icky sentimentality like there is loads of in space jam. Back in action is one of the best g rated comedies of all time.....P.S: Jordan couldn't even bloody act.

Last movie seen at cinemas: 'Saw IV'
Last dvd bought: 'The Prestige'

I enjoyed Space Jam as a kid and I can enjoy it still. I've watched it 7! times in theatre and over a dozen times on video (at least)

Back in action had its fun moments but was really a potpourri of scenes.

(In the mind of a kid: Space Jam: 9.5
Back in action: 6

...LT could have been better, but it still outshines "Spacejam"...

Space Jam was fine too, although I did feel the Wayne Knight character was a bit of a pain in the rear. Good thing he gets flattened by the Monstars. I think Looney Tunes does a better job of having good vs. evil among the WB characters. Remember, they weren't all friends in a gang.

reply

Space Jam will always be better in my opinion.

1. It had an understandable plot
2. It had a star character many recognized, Michael Jordan
3. Advertising was beter than LT:BIA
4. You basically had the Looney Tunes working together for once and saving their world, not that the plot in LT:BIA was any worse

Space Jam!

reply

I don't HATE Space Jam, but my preference is Looney Tunes: Back In Action.

What drives Space Jam down is JORDAN as the star....with Bugs & Daffy taking a backseat to his "airness". My kids like Space Jam, but as soon as the toons are off the screen at the end & its all "Jordan" they quickly lose interest...as if the movie is OVER for them.

BIA is a TRUE Looney Tunes movie...with Brendan & Jenna CO-STARRING with Bugs & Daffy. Plus all the old Looney Tune references were so much to count & make it enjoyable for further viewings.

Back in Action, though not perfect, is infinitely better than Space Jam. The people who don't realise that are drowning in their own nostalgia--sorry, guys, I don't care how great it made your childhood, it's not that good of a movie. Back in Action gets the tone right for Looney Tunes, something Space Jam failed to do on so many levels. The jokes in BIA are clever and very inside, and not dumb jokes aimed at kids. And while it takes place in the "real world", as opposed to the "Looney Tunes world" as some people complain, it's more about the interaction, and the actors in BIA do a much better job at talking to no one than Michael Jordan did (to succeed in that respect, first the man should have learned how to act).

Anyway. Space Jam is great for nostalgia purposes, but as its own film and especially as a Looney Tunes film, it's a train wreck. People who vote for Space Jam in this duel of films obviously don't understand true Looney Tunes humor and were bogged by Warner Bros.' corruption of the brand in the early '90s.

Agreed with 5555
Space Jam was veeery dumb, with all the commercials and "baseketball", voice acting even worse than everything else 3/10
LT:BIA 7/10
Who Framed Roger Rabbit 9/10

back in action is much better. It was looney tunes humor instead of simply soliciting the most famous basketball player of all time.

Space Jam, all the way. Back in Action was way too boring.

The more people I meet, the more I get why Jane Goodall spends all of her time with chimps.....

Space Jam. At least it tried to do something different..
