Did anyone else just burst out laughing at the twist?

It was so ridiculous I just started laughing at how ridiculous it was. I don't understand how people can say this is a good film.

yeah that killed the movie for me too. maybe it was the medicore acting from the bald guy and the little kid, but it ruined the movie.

i have just watched the movie,but couldnt get it and it is driving me nuuts.
will you explain it to me?
did the child murder them?
were those characters just in the fat guy mind and not real?

I just had to come to IMDB to read about other people's opinions. I enjoyed the movie a lot until the plot twist. It's so ridiculous and forced, I couldn't take the movie serious after that. Hell, it was even obvious the kid was the killer. You hadn't seen him at all after and right before the twist.

And then that repetitive shooting of John Kusack and the cop, LOL. What is this? Halloween?

How is it forced if the WHOLE movie was leading up to it? It didn't come out of nowhere, there were hints and allusions to the reveal (not twist) right from the get-go. Not only did you not pay attention when you watched the movie but you've missed at-least 5 posts in this very thread that further explain the plot in great detail.

I don't even get this. Are you saying it was unrealistic? People can and have survived much worse. Prisoners have survived being shanked hundreds of times. People have survived having a third of their head blown off by a gun. People have survived thick metal objects piercing right through their brain. Humans are very resilient.

i didn't LAUGH but i did burst out yelling "GOD DAMN IT!"

up until the last 20 minutes i was really digging it, it was solid but... god damn it.

seriously watch until about an hour and 8 minutes in and then stop and make up your own ending. Whatever you make up is automatically infinitely better than the actual ending. It will hook you, it will make you want to know what the ending is, DON'T keep watching.

You will thank me for it
