Amazing
Who else thought this movie was unbelievibly good? I absolutely loved it.
share¨worst piece of *beep* movie ever
everyone how enjoyd this one must be blind or 5 years old
This idiot is crying and *beep* about so and so must be 5 years old. Well judging from his spelling and grammar, he must be 5. Well, hell, a 5 year old spells better than this guy. I liked this movie, not loved, but liked. It was cool, not as good as I thought it would be, but hey, it was not a complete disappointment. Well all ciao!
I love stupid ass action movies, but this was one of the most boring ones I've ever seen. The plot makes no sense, and the melodramatic "surprises" are predictable and uninspiring. What possible good can you see in this movie?
shareor are the people supporting this abomination utterly insane?
I think it's the latter, and I'm sure any person with at least an iota of intelligence will agree with me here.
Now, I'm not very picky when I watch movies, but this one was absolutely terrible, it was horrible!! Now I know what Col. Kurtz meant by "the horror." The horror is that shyte like this gets made.
I've thought of another group of people who would probably like this movie...Masochists. You know, folks who like to inflict pain on themselves? Yeah, they might enjoy this as well.
The dialogue was horrible. The "plot," if there was one, was non-existent. The acting was lame. The action sequences were pathetic...
This movie was terrible in EVERY aspect. And I didn't even expect much, I just expected some good mindless action. That's it!! This was beyond mindless...there's no word to describe just how unbelievably mindless this was!! Whoever greenlit this project did it to spite someone, or because they wanted to get themselves fired. Or perhaps it was some huge practical joke. All I know is that I doubt we'll be seeing anything from "Kaos" any time soon.
Worst movie in the history of the world.*
*I actually can't decide which was worse, this or Mortal Kombat Annihilation. Also, if there's a movie worse than these two out there, then rest assured I haven't seen it. Also, I find it hard to believe that such a movie could exist...but who knows?
Thank you, King, for your insight. So, basically you think I am all those things because I didn't collapse into a boredom coma while watching the movie?
How about an educated full time working woman who loves cars, video games, and guns and explosions. That type wasn't on your list.
First off, stereotypes suck (as well as you at this point). Just because someone halfway enjoyed something you despise doesn't make ME crazy. You more than me. Look at your post. All of you go through GREAT LENGTHS to prove how much you hate this movie. Why? How about you name all the movies you enjoy and I bet I find one in there that I don't like. However, it would be pointless and rather immature of me to go and find that movie's message board, and totally thrash people who liked it.
It is one thing to express an opinion. It is quite another to insult your fellow humans because they happen to not think like you (God bless the ones who don't).
Grow up, Sir.
Hey, I understand that there are movies that I like that you won't like, however, this movie was not good in any way. If you enjoyed it, then fine, I don't know how you could possibly enjoy it or why you would subject yourself to it, but fine. I mean this movie was so bad it went past being good to back again. There's was no redeeming quality to this movie, none whatsoever. This movie was no good. The critics didn't slam it 'cause they were evil, they slammed it 'cause the movie itself was evil.
EVERYONE who walked out of the theater looked pissed off. Why? 'Cause the movie blew. Bottom line.
And I have to admit, you're right, I shouldn't have offended you for liking it. And I apologize for that. However, everything I've said about this movie stays. It was horrifying. If you enjoyed it, then fine, but don't tell me that it had a plot, or that the action was good, or that the character were good, or that the dialogue was good...'cause it didn't, it wasn't, they weren't, and it definitely wasn't.
As for the movie being good? No. Wrong. If you enjoyed it, great...but it wasn't good, not in the slightest. If you enjoyed this, it wasn't because it was a good movie, it was because you like bad movies, or perhaps just this bad movie (bad here being an understatement, TERRIBLE is more like it). And don't take that as an insult, 'cause it wasn't.
If you read my previous posts you can see why I liked it.
I don't think it had a plot.
The dialogue wasn't good.
I liked the guns and I liked the explosions.
The main reason I liked it was for Ray Park (which I admit he needs to work on his acting a bit more). I think he is a terrific martial artist and I wanted to see him in a movie (because he has made so few).
I do not have a "thing" for bad movies.
You need to take into consideration other people before you go ranting about something.
I accept your apology.
:)
I actually liked this movie. I went to see with some friends, and one of them bought the tickets for all of us, we were 5 and three of them wanted to see 'Maid in Manhatan' (No way! I want to see some explotions, blood, action, fights, anything) So we all went to that room were 'Maid...' was played, but I said 'I'm sorry, but I wont see this movie' So I stood up, walked out of the room and went directly to the Ballistic's room. It was awesome, great big screen, comfortable seats, nice decoration (the only thing that bothered me was the noise of rats in the ventilation ducts... ewww, like in movies! hehe) and to be honest I liked this movie a lot... like when Antonio is like "She's gonna kill you, good luck", or the thing I really liked of him is when he is with his... wife? (sorry, bad memory) and she is telling him how is should have been or something and he is just moving his head is such a way... I don't know, I can't describe it but I like it. That was the point within all this thing, I LIKED IT.
One thing, Lucy's character didn't show any emotion because that was how she was supposed to be. It was the way she was raised. Remmeber Ecks talking about that in the begining?
Also, the little kid most look like his grandparents, because he was blondish with green hair and it was their son but they were like brown-eyed and dark-haired.
HAVE A NICE DAY =)
I liked the movie too. I actually like it a lot more after seeing it a few times later on. If I could I'd change my review I posted to a 7/10. It grew on me with several more viewings. It wasn't a great film, but for an action film it was good. I actually was able to follow the plot a lot easier than most peopel were too. But there are a few too many slow-motion shots in it, and it would have been nice if Banderas was limping somewhat after Lucy Liu had run her car into him. I'd have been limping for sure! That guy is tougher than I thought. I expected that people would hate this one though, since I usually like what others can't hate. Some of my fav films are UNIVERSAL SOLDIER, LASER MISSION (R.I.P. Brandon), THE PUNISHER, I COME IN PEACE, RED SCORPION, RAMBO 2, DESPERADO, etc. And Lucy Liu kicks ass in this film no matter what. She rules, but seeing her really let those guys have it was sweet. At least she's getting her chance to show us she has what it takes to upstage Arnold and Stallone. And the more female action hero's the better I say! :)
shareIt cant be too difficult to make an action film these days. But this is absolute garbage. I dont understand how warner brothers get involved with it. Lucy and Antonio are ok, but the plot is terrible and the action scenes are really boring. After watching films like The Matrix and Equilibrium you realise that it would be difficult to make a worse action flick.
2/10 for an action film
1/10 for plot
2/10 Enjoyment
Ray Park is the worst actor ever, which made me laugh. It would have been embaressing to sit through this film at the cinema. Banderas makes some crap these days and lucy Lui has never made a half decent film anyhow. POOR POOR POOR POOR.
by the way CJ, if your fav films include Laser Mission , The Punisher and Red Scorpion you probebly have the worst taste ever. What has this world come to.
Some real action films include
Die Hard
Terminator
The Matrix
The killer
Fist of Legend
Robocop
Total Recall
Predator
King: "Mortal Kombat Annihilation" was worse, way worse. I'm glad I didn't see it in a theatre. Geez.
"Ballistic" was rather good, though.
I enjoyed it also.People who are saying "this is the worst movie ever" obviously haven't watched many movies.
shareThe morons posting positive reviews of Ballistic owe me some money. I rented this DVD last night based on those posts and now I've lost 7$ and 90 min of my life. I can forgive the 90 min since I got a few good laughs out of how...I can't even think of a word to describe how horrifyingly BAD this godammed piece of crap "movie" is. I want my MONEY back! I have lost all respect for you people. How can ANYONE enjoy this stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid.... AHhhhhhhh! I hate this movie som much. Nothing made sense at all.
Answer me one thing: How could Ecks not find out that his wife was still alive? She must have realised that everyone she knew was at her funeral. She just went and married some guy she hates for what? When they didn't find a body in the car, didn't ace FBI agent Ecks alarm bells go off? I could understand if she was kidnapped or a villain herself, but come on! Why was it set in Vancouver. That was few questions I know but this film has so many mistakes and plotholes that it's nearly impossible to follow the story.
Aw, come on. Just forget about that. Enjoy it for what it is, a huge agglomeration of firefights, explosions and hand-to-hand combats.
shareI though it was much better than it has been given credit for. It was named one of the Top 250 Worst Films of All Time! Charlie's Angels 2 was worse than this flick and no one gave it nearly as much flack. I would recommend this film to someone with an open mind and a free night.
Final Grade: A ballistic 7/10
i just watched this piece because of Lucy and Ray.
The plot was bad, just as the fights were. The acting wasn`t any good, and everything else was silly boring or stupid as well, except for the scenes with the gun fights - the one where about 100 cops try to stop lucy was great (though unrealistic, but great).
Nevertheless, this movie doesn't deserve to be in the worst 100 movies of IMDB.
I think it was the same level of crap as LOTR 2, but LOTR 2 is No. 10 in the top 250.
Charlies Angels was the worst piece of crap since party animals. Party Animals was the worst film ever made. Deep Blue sea sucked ten times more than Ballistic. Every Steven Segal, Michael Dudikoff, Jean Claude Van Damme movie is 100 times worse than this.
I just named a few movies that deserve to be in the worst 100, but aren`t, only to show that the bottom 100 list isn't worth anything.
Ballistic sux, but is underrated.
no you just have diffrent taste then most people have in general
live with it
Having heard a LOT of bad stuff about this movie, I was the first one to grab the advance rental DVD (i work in a video store. this doesn't come out on DVD for about 3 weeks yet...in australia that is) and just to see how bad it was.
I have to say, I didn't enjoy the movie a whole lot, but I was expecting worse. My expectations were lowered even more when i read "Directed by Kaos" in the opening credits. It made me cringe with embarassment for the dirctor. The movie itself had less plot than The Transporter (which i enjoyed) and like the transporter, the plot was a blatant excuse for the action.
but, I didn't sit thru the whole thing. I got bored with the lack o' plot.

If this movie was oxygen and my mother was suffocating, i would let her die rather than breath it in.

Condemn me, but that movie just kicks ass!
I haven't seen that lot of explosions and firefights in a movie for a while. Antonio Banderas did a great job with his character, Lucy Liu was as sexy as ever and it was nice to see Talisa Soto back on the big screen. Okay, the plot wasn't Shakespeare and - I acknowledge that - not that convincing, but hey, it's an ACTION movie. And an effective one, too. There was enough suspense to keep me hooked. There's a lot of explosions, too. And the soundtrack was the best one Dan Davis has ever composed - as far as I can remember, though. Even if you hate this movie, you have to check out the soundtrack, I urge you. Did I mention the explosions?
I think the movie deserved an overall 5/10. I give it a 6/10 because it is unrealistic as heck but also as much as entertaining :)
