Amazing
Who else thought this movie was unbelievibly good? I absolutely loved it.
shareDude I loved this movie to. The action was so well choreographed and exciting. The only thing i can't understand is why this movie was rated R. There was nothing here you wouldn't see in a James Bond movie. And now this fil will be rejected to young teens who are the primary demographics to see this movie. So ignore all those negative reviews out there and if you are a true action fan you will absolutely love this movie!
shareThank you, I was so surprised to see this movie on the bottom 100. whats the problem. I'm sure there's plenty of trash out there that deserves to be there. I was actually entertained by this movie. Im not saying its The Matrix, one of those heavy hitters, but entertaining. I don't know what some of you have been smoking to think this is trash. It's not trash at all.
shareok i am a total girl, but i loved the story. it was sweet justice for a bad man. lucy was awesome.
shareThough my enthusiasm for this film may not match Mr. JoeSchmoe98's, I did really enjoy this film. I was ready for it to be a great letdown, but was thoroughly entertained from begining to end. While it wasn't any life-changing or deeply thought provoking film, it was pure entertainment. I have a bias for Lucy Liu and like Antonio Banderas quite a bit. Plus, I like it when stuff blows up, duder. The film did it's purpose, and that was to entertain for the duration.

Don't believe any of the positive submissions on this page. I am a guy who likes a thoughtless action film more often than not. I love thoughtful ones but the thoughtless ones can truly be fun. xXx comes to mind. I was expecting something along those lines when I came to see Ballistic. What it turned out to be was a number of explosions that seemed to occur for no reason what so ever. To say there was little plot bringing these explosions together is a given. That comes with the territory, but in this case the reasons are even below the lowest C movie in quality. No one reacts to an event the way you'd expect a normal human being to react.

So why should we believe your submission? How is your opinion any more valid than anyone else's? there is nothing fundamentally wrong with your opinion, but your attacks on those of others is wholly unjustified.
Me and a friend of mine went to the theaters, hoping to get some laughs out of the current releases.
Me and my friend picked Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever. On purpose.
Me and my friend laughed for 90 minutes!
We counted 37 wheeled objects (cars, train bogies, etc.) blown up.
We counted 0 multidimensional characters.
We counted 0 moments that Lucy Liu expresses some kind of emotion.
We saw no comprehensible or reasonable plot.
We counted 0 of the audiences who is entertained, at least by the look on their faces.
We ate countless snacks.
We spent $2.5 each to see this film. Ticket prices here are pretty cheap.
We weren't disappointed at all. Because that's what we came for.
To laugh at this utter crap directed by my fellow Thai citizen, Wych Kaosayananda.
By the way, we counted 3,247,961,745,882 twitches-in-the-seat the guy beside us made.
eye of the pyramid. that is absolutly right. but i think that you are being too kind. I nearly always enjoy antonio banderas, but ballistic was ridiculous. how that piece of crap ever got made is beyond me.

i'm sorry...i can't stand back and listen to this mindless bashing...all of you forgot the totally gay soundtrack! it's like duh!
shareI watched this movie because it was supposed to be mindless, and hey, it was.
But it had lots of cool guns in it, in fact if I hadn't read here that it was from a computer game, it still seemed awfully like one. It probably had all the guns that ever appeared in a tactics type game, and a few more (oh wait, they probably didn't go to austria, hence it misses the Steyr). From a game perspective those guns were really nice. Especially that grenade launcher thingy Liu used to stop the jail bus. I'm also sure those teargas launchers the bad guys used to blow up the trains in the big end shootout used a sound effect from Unreal tournament - or maybe the other way around? Oh no, UT is much older, duh.
The only thing that disturbed me that they actually put scenes in between the action, with no action. I mean, he-ll, those other scenes didn't do anything, didn't explain anything, except try to create a totally weird story with plotholes as big as bomb craters. I suppose they wanted to connect the action with something, but the movie would have been better without. I also thought the dialogue was totally unnecessary, for the fact that it was so quiet half the time you had to strain your ears to listen to mindless babble.
Oh, and the martial arts was slow and badly done. It looks ok at first, but only because of cutting to speed it up. If you want real martial arts go watch Kiss of the Dragon again. The story's no better, the martial arts is.
So, seems like a negative comment? Not at all. I thought it was quite enjoyable actually (but only from a computer game perspective.)
I only wanted to see it because Ray Park was in it. He needs to brush up on his acting skills a bit but for his first "real" movie he did pretty good. I think if he would have choreographed his own fight scene it wouldv'e looked better.
As for the rest of the movie, I love guns and explosions and that is what I got. No disappointment here!
the whole movie was not that good. The only part that was cool as far as action goes was when Lucy Liu (sever) had those two staffs and beat the *beep* out of those cops.. That was sweet... the rest of the movie sucked though.

I thought it was a good film. Not great, but I enjoyed it. I don't know either how the critics gave it bad reviews? probably the title? Lots of action and a good plot!

I never played the game, but I did somewhat enjoy the movie. It had plot holes, Lucy should have shown emotion, and all that jazz. But it was still enjoyable, to me atleast.
If you can read this, then you can read
I saw this movie in a somewhat expensive theatre (7 to 8 bucks a ticket) and, i really enjoyed it. it was a great movie that you didnt have to think about to watch it, it was just a sweet "lets-blow-everything-to-hell-and-back" movie. if they have a sequal, you can bet i will shell out another 8 bucks to go see it.
shareI'm with you! The perfect kill 'em all movie!
shareLove banderas and Lucy but this movie was crap Ray park was cool during the fight scene but he lookes like a wimp when he's running with an automatic weapon. He needs to work on his acting but hey who knows maybe they will make a second one and it will be better enough people went because of the names so they should have the dough.
shareThis was the one movie where I slept, and felt sorry for spending $6 to see... I caught only parts of it, and, well, the plot was really simple. Other than that, it seemed to me whenever I woke up that it was always the same scene... There was always something getting blown up and people firing. Also, did Lucy ever say a word? I didn't notice... The best part is undoubtedly the end. I was thrilled it had finally ended.
