Maybe the best movie in the series.
Not the most crucial one but when it comes to book adaptation, directing, acting - it is the best one.

sharedirection is the best in series...
shareI think this is also the best in the series, and by such a huge margin that it makes the others look weak in comparison. Which isn't true, because they're all good, solid movies. This one though, it's just such a great and lively movie with great camerawork and a story that feels like it has a beginning and an end with a notable character arc for Harry throughout. Plus, the best setpieces in the series are here as well.
shareCuaron's direction is certainly the strongest in the series, and I'm certain that's something most can agree with. I'm also of the opinion that nearly every aspect of the film is flawless compared to all the other ones in the series. And Chamber of Secrets is actually my personal favorite, though Prisoner of Azkaban feels like the most ambitious Potter film.
You want something corny? You got it!
Once again I couldn't disagree with you more. The film wasn't directed well, the acting was stale. too many things just don't add up and it was way too childish for me. Goblet of Fire and on were much better.
"I really wish Gia and Claire had became Tanner" - Honeybeefine
I thought this film was one of my favorite installments.
shareThis is the one Harry Potter film that I legitimately don't like. I don't see how it's possible to like Prisoner of Azkaban, there is not a single positive thing I can say about it and it's just as campy and childish as the first two just all the fun and excitement of the first two has been sucked out.

I think it's the best film in part because it doesn't involve a huge amount of backstory or plot or big-scale plot. The plot that is included is pretty centered around Harry getting to learn about his parents' betrayer and friends and learning to cope with his own fears and anger.
sharePeople really need to stop comparing books to movies.
