Better than the first!

This one is definitely better than the first one. More individuals involved in this movie and more action.

I don't think either film is better or worse than the other, I love them both. The first is highly original and genuinely spooky, the second has more of a comic relief but gives more insight as to what exactly the creeper is. I also love the way the second film picked up right where the first left off and went into more detail about what was going on in that church basement.

I like the first one a lot more.

I like both, but the first is better (to me, it just had a creepier tone and a much better ending).

History is written by the victor. History is full of liars.

I disagree.

Major issues;
- There were so many characters in this one. I can barely remember any of their names. Pretty much all of them were obnoxious and they just kept accusing each other of being gay. Lmao. I didn't care for any of them. This is in contrast to the first JC where you have two siblings together and you care for them a lot even when they're being obnoxious to each other...it comes across as endearing, simply siblings poking fun at each other. Here it's a bunch of dudes on edge who dislike each other. To further this point, most of the teens on the bus vanish after they all run. They didn't even showcase a bunch of deaths. A bunch of would be victims and they don't deliver a bloodbath, a wasted potential. The father who's out for revenge was also very melodramatic and one note. A caricature almost.

- The setting (a bus stranded) is...alright, it's memorable at least but it's not really dynamic. It became a bit flat after a while. The first one with them discovering the abandoned church, going to the diner, to the cat lady's house, the police station...it's a bit more varied. They're on the move whilst being hunted, being stuck on a bus just didn't hit the same way.

- The first JC was a lot scarier, this one is arguably more fun/funny I guess. The first one nailed the tone, creepy whilst also having a few bits of humor.

In saying that this film does have it's merits. The cinematography is suprisingly slick, and a few scenes are very memorable.
