No jokes ... Who actually liked this movie?

I gotta say and I'm being honest here, this was not a bad movie. It's not necessarily a good movie, but it's middle of the road (not the donkey turd every body else calls it). It had some interesting characters, some wacky performances and a strange plot. It's no classic, but it's better than say "Meet the Spartans" or "Battlefield Earth".

"And this baby's made of chocolate lollipops."

It's as good, if not better, than the Lord Of The Rings trilogy.

My mate got this as a present for me for Christmas, I think its a very underrated film, and Al Pachino's part in it is done brilliantly. I liked it a lot!. The only reason it got panned, was because the public were fed up of seeing J.Lo and Ben Affleck in the media all the time, which resulted in the critical backlash and people not wanting to see it for both reasons. They played their parts very well I think.

But then, this is not the sort of movie I'd watch time and time again, the majority of the top 250 I already have, and would love to own most of them on DVD.

If you liked "Gigli" that's cool. It's not the worst movie ever made, but close. It is so hard to believe that either character is supposed to be a contractor for the mob. And, the plot holes are so huge. Gigli kidnaps the retarded younger brother of the District Attorney for LA. And, then, in several scenes he's driving around town with the "kid" (Brian) in a convertible with the TOP DOWN! And, of course, Gigli is so irresistable that he can "change" J Lo's character from lesbian to straight. And, why does Gigli do the fake phone calls on a flashlight from his glove compartment? I know it's supposed to be funny for us in the audience. But, it doesn't make sense. Brian knows what a telephone is. And, why couldn't Gigli just hold a fake conversation on his cell phone?

I agree it's really not all that bad. The acting can be over the top and the story is a little silly but there are movies that are 10 worst then this yet they don't get the kind of bad reviews this one got.

Well, I take back what I said originally. I HATE THIS FILM!!!!!!!!.

Straight up, I actually like this movie and do not believe it is the piece of crap everyone says it is. In fact I'm sure the majority of people who dogged this movie probably never saw it(or only saw bits and pieces). It's not worthy of an Oscar or anything, but there have been a hell of a lot worse films than this, especially in this "let's make every comic book under the sun into a movie/70's or 80's show remake/remake of another film remake" society we have shoved down our throats today.

The only real downside of this film can be attributed to J.Lo's "acting" and the media's obsession with Bennifer part One.

It was fine. There were some excellent performances from the supporting actors, and the story was at least passably interesting.

This is a classic example of people buying into media hype without seeing the actual movie, due to the people starring in the movie. If this had been made with Steve Buscemi and Anne Heche instead of Jen and Ben, it would've opened modestly, gotten decent reviews, and performed reasonably well. Compared to some of the other crap Hollywood produces, the script and directing here are at least average, maybe more.

ya it's not that bad! it's joyful to watch!!!
