i agree with cpfh, i did actually watch the entire movie, (instead of turning it off after the first 30 minutes, like i considered), but i was glad that i did. it did pick up a little once you just accept that that is the style of the movie and it's not going to be as good as shanghai. the problem with me was that i love owen's style, and i think he brings his own character into every movie character he plays, and i just didn't see that happening here. instead of being the ditzy, hilarious self centered hottie who isn't the brightest and can't fight, he's trying to play a fbi agent who for the most part knows what he's doing and can't get a girl cuz he's shy. while i think it's fine for actors to switch personas or characters, this one just doesn't mesh as well as what we're used to. instead they gave that role to murphy. the other major problem was the weak dialogue. a movie has to have good dialogue to be successful. however, i did enjoy it, and if they did make a sequel i would watch it.
