The cinematography and aspect ratio
The martial arts
The writing
CGI
The faithfulness to the original
The new remix of the classic theme

Well, I liked Kano, he ended up being the best character in the movie.

I also liked that Sub-Zero was more heavily featured than in the other adaptations. As the second face of the franchise, giving him the spotlight was long overdue.

Finally, some of the fight scenes were cool, and the soundtrack was pretty awesome.

They at least had the balls to go full blood and guts gore on the fatalities, thought they were Disney the action but they didn't.
