I think I've decided that I officially hate Sesshoumaru's father. What he did to him with Tessaiga and Tensaiga was just cruel. What a way to make one child feel like he was worth a lot less than the other.

I view Sesshomaru's father's decision much like the situation in that Johnny Cash song - A Boy Named Sue,

Eh, I think it's worse than that. Because she screwed his son over for the benefit of the other, made him feel like he was worth less. He didn't have to do it the way he did. I think Sesshoumaru is already tough, already knew the world was crap, and things that happened wouldn't have really hurt him. It's that his father did that to him, bad bad bad.
