Which Spielberg mini-series did you enjoy more?

So far I've only watched 6 of the 10 Taken episodes and I love it, but overall I'd say Band of Brothers was a stronger effort.

Both are fantastically done, but I doubt anything in 'Taken' can match the very final scene of "Band of Brothers" where all the guys are playing baseball and you hear about what they did after the war and then you see the interview footage with the actual veterans... it doesn't get much better than that.

So where does your opinion lie?

I finished watching Taken on DVD and it was such a great story! I'm not gonna bother comparing Taken with Band of Brothers because Band of Brothers is not my type of TV. I'm not into wars or guy stuff but I'm more into family fare and I really love this show!

you should watch band of brothers.its a true story and its about what the men went through.alot of women think that war movies are just guys killing each other and blowing up but they are not.those are more like rambo.see b.o.b. it is my fav movie.

I love both series. I just got Taken on DVD and watched it from beginning to end. I'm not sure if like Band of Brothers, I could just stick a favourite episode on though. I might have to watch the whole series at once.

It's weird I should find this post cos just as the last episode of Taken was starting, I thought to myself that the theme tune is a real shame. It doesn't grip you like the theme tune to Band of Brothers does. That's my only problem with it.

Even though I enjoyed Taken quite a bit, except for the ending, my vote would be definitely be for Band of Brothers.

i love both series. but i'm a HUGE fan of Band of Brothers. i think its the best miniseries EVER! and by far, its much more impressive than Taken or any other minseries i've seen (but i guess that BOB's budget was MUCH bigger than Taken's).
and the fact that BOB was based on a true story, kinda made it more touchy and heartwarming than Taken.

Band of Brothers was GREAT but Taken sucked big time because of the huge plot holes and very annoying actors. This must be the most over-hyped serie ever. It was so frustrating and painful to watch this show through...

Band of Brothers was ten times better. Taken was watchable but forgettable.

absolutely correct greg! and for those saying they can't be compared, get real. they are mini series. which one did you enjoy, which one moved you more, which one will you think about more when its over...

Friends, WHY ON GODS GREEN EARTH WOULD ANYONE TRY TO COMPARE A SCIENCE FICTION STORY TO A HISTORICAL DRAMA?!?!?!?! You JUST don't do it!!!!!! Stop there....
