Anyone else who thought the movie sucked??

I saw it yesterday at the sneak preview and it was the wordt movie ever. I mean, what is the director trying to do: is it a critical movie about corruption in the LAPD, or is it just another bad police movie? I saw at least three mistakes in the movie, the acting was bad, the lighting was bad, everything sucked. I especially hated the main characters and I could't care less, when Bobby died. And imdb.com compares this movie with L.A. Confidential? Get out of here!

Ps. Is there anyone who agrees??

It had some flaws, quite a few of them. But I hate to say it sucked, even though it kind of ...I don't want to say it.

"There's the way it ought to be, and there's the way it is."

No. It has a laughably poor depiction of the LAPD, but is otherwise solid all the way around. I think that's the general consensus here.

wordt??? just asking?

Ellroy distanced himself from it ... he would know.

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings.

Nemiss: Do you have any films you directed that I can or the public can see?

It was awful and should be a Spike Lee joint....I give it a high rating due to Gleeson,Russell and the talented actress who played Bobby's girl.

The first hour of this film..........ultra-realistic...{Kurt Russell carries everything.
Ving Rhames is NOT an actor}.Truth is shown black criminals everywhere, too lazy to work...accomplishing nothing but for killing GREAT ASIAN and White working people.
White police officers paid very little to stop blacks from burning cities..Then the remainder of this movie begins the BIG lie.
All of a sudden the black characters are the good guys..and a White policeman betrays his oath to protect his fellow policemen, betray the innocent black American community
and everyone else!
Lesson.Let black criminals ruin America.
