If you don't like it, then why do you go and watch it?

Hi folks,

If you don't like MARTIN LAWRENCE (or any other actor/actress), then why do you go and watch his movies, and why do you criticize him and/or his movies? Don't forget, you are not obliged or forced to watch his movies. It's like Forest Gump's mom states, life is a box of chocolates, you never know what you gonna get. Martin Lawrence won't change his way of acting or playing after reading your (negative) critics. If you like African American actors in fun movies, then go to Eddie Murphy's movies. If you don't like him either, well then go to a Disney movie for my part!

The movie has been made, the stars have played their roles and this is just another option you can choose among when going to the movies. It's that easy!

Have fun!

Well, you're semi-right. I don't like ML, and there's no way in hell I'm gonna see this or any of his upcoming movies. I too don't understand why would someone who doesnt like ML pay 8$ to see him. In some cases you're forced to see it though, maybe all of your friends are going to the movie. Maybe you girl/boy friend insists on seeing it.

One more thing, they can bitch all they want, why do you care? :/

Personally, I don't like Martin Lawrence much at all, most of the time he just isn't funny and is rather annoying. Although, he was pretty good in Bad Boys. Anyhow, the only reason I saw this film was because of Steve Zahn. Steve is great, I love just about all of his films and always look forward to his next project. Too bad Martin had to ruin this film.

i enjoy a martin lawrence movie every now and then, i actually liked blue streak. but this movie was just utterly crap. the jokes... if you can call them jokes, where not funny, i felt nothing but hatred for the character.
same way jackass is trying new grounds on disgusting us, and in a way entartaining us, ML has tried new grounds. and boy is it wrong grounds.

to answer your question, why i whent to watch it:
I didn't know it was gonna suck!

I saw this movie because I heard from several people that this film was funny. The trailers looked funny, too. However, when I saw this movie... not really.

Most of Martin Lawrence's "jokes" about racism and reverse-racism, for the most part, just weren't funny. But most of the disappointment relied on so many missed comedic opportunities, where they either talked or did absolutely nothing. I nearly fell asleep through this a couple of times.

If I want to know for sure if a movie's really crappy as it sounds, I see it.
