wow there are quite a few
*A walk to remember....wow so many scenesim not even going to list
*the notebook....same as above
*moulin rouge....alot of the scenes in the movie....but mostly when christian is begging satine not to sleep with the duke and the very last scene when she dies
*rent...mostly the entire scene of without you....where they are showing angel dying and mimi going through withdrawl
*life as a house.....especially when robin is laying with george and showing him the video of him and sam in the ocean...and when sam finds out george is dying and collapses on alyssa's stairs
*sisterhood of the traveling pants....gosh when carmen is on the phone yelling at her dad about leaving and not telling her about his getting married....when tibby is at bailey's bedside trying to convince her to take the pants...and when bridgett is talking about her mom with carmen and tibby
*crash....its been awhile since i saw it...but i think it was mostly the end of the movie...oh and the part where the dad is holding his daughter thinking she had been shot....i know i gasped and started crying at that part
*uptown girls....i dont remember specifically what part of this movie made me cry...i just know it did
*mom at sixteen....even though its a tv movie....the very end just made me cry
*harry potter and the goblet of fire...i have to say the part where Harry brings cedric back and everyone is like "wooo hooo we won!" and slowly everyone realizes what happend while harry is crying over his body....it just got to me....probably the best acting we have seen out of dan radcliffe...plus there's the element of its really sad that someone so good looking isnt going to be in the next movie...hehe

there is quite a few more but im not going to list them...this is a big part of how i judge a good movie....if it makes me laugh until my sides hurt or if it makes me cry

i don't think i actually cried in these movies, i just felt really sad but here goes:
(1)Iris (i can't believe no one has mentioned it!)
(2)Finding Neverland
(3)City of angels
(4)Dead Poet's Society
There must be others but i can't think of them at the moment.

Has anyone seen the latest remake of Lassie? I took my kids to that and bawled about 4 times. A few people have mentioned Harry Potter and the GOF. I too cried at the Cedric part especially when his father was saying "My Boy!" but I also cried at the school dance when Hermione came down the stairs. She looked lovely and like a little girl all grown up. I guess that's the mother part of me going a bit soppy. And what about all the old Shirley Temple movies? I've been watching some of those at home with my kids too and crying my eyes out.

Movies that reduced me to tears:-

Lorenzo's Oil
A Beautiful Mind
Go Toward the Light (1988) (TV)
In America
Life Is Beautiful
Ellen Foster (1997) (TV)
Lassie (2005)
White Oleander (2002)

There are other movies that also made me cry due to sheer awe, but i'm not listing them here (too many).

reply

why'd white oleander make you cry?

reply

I cried when I saw White Oleander (her mother lets her go forever). That movie is on my list of movies that depress me but I watch them anyway. Kinda like Girl, Interrupted, depressing movie but I loved it.

reply

That scene of them watching the video of him and Sam in the ocean really touched me, the sentimental nostalgia of looking back their earlier life, perhaps before their marriage got rough and Sam was happy....but all past now, never to be relived.

Plus the compassion of the nurse in the beginning after George told her he hadn't been physically touched in many years. Her face was so beautiful and caring...backlit almost like an angel.

titantic and
FREAK THE MIGHTY.
ohmygosh.
i cried for like an hour after that one :'[

reply

There is really only once movie that really stands out in my mind as being one that I just bawled and that was Pay It Forward. I've cried at others but that is really the only one that really stands out to me. I really have only seen it once. If a film moves me that much, I won't touch it again. Keeps it sort of sacred.

reply

Mrs_Erica_Hartnett - You a big Garrett Hedlund fan? I love his movies too, but none of them made me cry. Lol. Well, except that scene with his Dad and the girl in FNL. *shiver* Horrible scene.

Anyway, yeah...your a fan, right?

Dean, Alec, Dean, Alec, Dean, Alec...*whimper* I really can't just have them both?
