Can someone name a movie with better cinematography...?
If so, let me know, because I can't think of one...

Terrence Malick anyone? David gordon green?
I'm going to assume that none of you have seen any films by these two, if you had I am very sure they would be on your lists.
Malick especially, Days of heaven is a must see for anyone who enjoys breathtaking cinematography.
The Lord of the Rings series
The Godfather
The Dark Knight
I wouldn't say better, but films with equally good cinematography:
+ Blade Runner
+ Atonement
+ Spellbound
+ Ed Wood
+ 2001: A Space Odyssey
+ Barry Lyndon
+ The Fall
I really wasn't that impressed with The Godfather's cinematography.
Although I hated the movie... this is by far the best cinematography ever... every scene can be paused and framed on a wall
"Stalker", made after a book by Strugatki brothers
"...If you have an issue, here a tissue"
Slumdog? Give me a break there is nothing intresting about that movie. Kubrick movies are always top of the list as far as cinematography, but next comes anything else by Conrad. Everything else is pretty far behind. The ending **SPOILERS** with Hanks at the glass, waves reflected, and Michael Jr by the waves with Jude Law in background is just amazing.
shareso? i liked Slumdog and you didn't ah well

anyway people have started naming random sh!t...totally irrelevant to the OP's question, making a list of their recent favorite movies instead
Jerry Lewis in The Nutty Professor.
shareZombie Strippers!
shareAre we to manly to say Pride & Prejudice(Joe Wright version)? Also Atonement is incredible. Children of Men has been mentioned but it deserves another shout out. I also enjoy Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. I'm a sucker for beautiful landscape haha
Just tell her you a slave to the groove....you can't help it.
Basically all Conrad Hall movies look great(Road to perdition, American Beauty) and just about every Roger Deakins movie looks good too( All the Coen Bros movies, Assassination of J.J.) I also love the cinematography for Unforgiven, its a beautiful looking movie.
"Deserve's got nothin' to do with it."
The Talented Mr. Ripley and Raw Deal.
"Two more swords and I'll be Queen of the Monkey People." Roseanne
have you seen perfume: the story of a murderer?

1979 Days Of Heaven - Terence Malik with the remarkable cinematographer Nestor Almendros - experimental - all natural lighting. If you've never seen this film it is indelible on the basic needs of men. A true masterpiece of incredible beauty and tragedy.
shareCrouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon...,House Of Flying Daggers..just about any movie by Zhang Zimou
"Fuggedabout Joe the Plumber, what about Don the Jeweler?".
