Am I the only one that enjoys…

I really did not like this film when it first came out. However, it has grown on me over the years and I enjoy it quite a bit now.

I enjoyed it as well. Haven't seen a bad movie with Christian Bale yet.

I still remember going to see this film in the theater.

I didn't dislike it, but it also didn't live up to my expectations. A friend of mine and I were really high on Christian Bale at the time because of American Psycho and Equilibrium, and Matthew McConaughey is cool too, and the trailers looked awesome, so we were expecting great things. Instead we got a movie that was pretty good and fairly entertaining, but nothing more than that.

As for a better dragon film, I remember liking Dragonheart from the 90s well enough but I would need to rewatch them both to compare.

Matthew McConaughey, absolutely stole the show in Reign of Fire. He was pure badass as Van Zan. I wish he was in the movie more and I don't get the under-utilization of that character.

He says Van Zan was one of his all-time favorite characters and I can see it. I wish they had based a game around him and his exploits back in the States.

As for the movie... I have these urges to see the film again because of McConaughey. But then I hate so much how the screenplay unfolds. It's such a... waste. You know what I mean? I kind of wish they had the directing, cinematography and the characters but with a better script and screenplay and with better treatment of Van Zan.

I enjoy it. It's not great, and I can't watch it over and over. But honestly, there's not much else like it lol, and it does what it's trying to do decently enough. Bale and McC play it straight too.

No, not at all. It's not the most well-known movie, but I can't recall seeing one fan whose seen it say a negative thing about it. It's an awesome action flick.

This film has aged well.

After two decades, it is still a good one.
