My absolute favorite film is Keichi Hara's Colorful from 2010...it's a heavily personal choice so I won't spill the details here. Summer Wars and Whisper of the Heart are a respectable 2nd and 3rd place.

My favorite is the 2010 film Colorful, which is very personal to me. Summer Wars and Whisper of the Heart are close runner ups. Honorable mentions to Tangled, The Incredibles, Inside Out, Persepolis, and Lilo & Stitch.
