I thought so too - not awful, just looked like they were holding back like their contracts said no tongues or something because the leads are married.

I don't mind the nose. For me, the problem is that Ashley Judd looks so uncomfortable.

The kiss was filmed about 6 months after the rest and it must be difficult to turn up for work on a Sunday and kiss someone you haven't seen for months. Especially when he has stubble and you have to keep repeating it.

The kiss filmed during the original shoot looks much more relaxed (it's an extra on some of the DVDs).

I think the cows in the back were better to look at than that "kiss".

Hugh Jackman is a good kisser actually, i mean he seems to be =) But i agree, that kiss was really awkward. Though it is not how the kiss is which counts, it is what it means.

when i read this board, i thought you must all be over exaggerating, but after watching it, ... well, it was the most amusing kiss i have ever seen. i nearly wet myself laughing. the way his nose got squashed was hilarious

I also just saw this movie a few minutes ago and came on here to see if I was tye only one who noticed this... Worst. Kiss. Ever!

It wasn't so much that his nose was getting in the way, but the fact it looked like he was trying to eat her and inhale her face through his nose.. It was the most horrible and agressive kissing I've seen in any film, ever!

I literally couldn't watch the scene because it was SO awkward and hilarious. I didn't think it was his nose that was the biggest problem though, it was that they kept moving their heads around so much and were so rough and closed-lipped that it was basically just them smashing their faces together.

Terrible, terrible kiss.
