i have seen this movie 100s of times, studied it, worshipped it. Ask me any question about it I will almost guarantee I know the answer. Any hate-posts will be ignored. Don't waste your time.

How many people were killed and or injured in the movie? Please go by total and also by diffrent types (such as Security guards, main charaters, police, Civilians, people working at the place's of business's which each event had taken place.) Plus How many times were guns fired in the movie? (Please do the same above with the amount of times guns were fired in the movie if you can)
Last but not least I am curious, why do you love this movie so much and take note to such detail? I enjoy the movie myself quite a bit.
what was the name of the Elvis song played while Michael was putting on his elvis cotume right after he left the sneakers on Cybil's bed? I really liked it and I can't remember the name.
If I'm not mistaken, the 'movie star' shotgun in this flick was a Franchi SPAS-12, but it is a semi-automatic and most definitely NOT a pumpgun.
I don't really recall seeing a 'pumpgun' (which I assume is slang for a pump-action shotgun) in this movie, but then again I had stopped and ejected the disc LOONG before it ended.
I tried to watch because I like Kurt Russell, had to stop because I LOATHE Costner.
(And whoever said 'Dances With Wolves' was a great movie needs to get on some stronger Psych Meds...)
Actually you can pump the Franchi SPAS 12 because the firing mode can be switched between single shot and semi-auto. Pumping the gun negates the inherent advantages of the semi-automatic shotgun, but can bypass problems related to the internal mechanics or gas recoil system.
NPPWS: I'll answer your question about the fatalities and guns, but as you can imagine it'll take a while. I'll get back to that one.
As for the other question, I don't know why I love the movie so much. I guess I just feel a connection with it, especially with the character that Kevin Costner plays.
JKLYON99: Well firstly, You have to realize that Kurt Russel in the movie is one of the illegitimate sons of elvis pressley (other one being murphy). This would make a general idolization from mike (kurt russel) to elvis. Now, the singer David Bowie always wore a lighting bolt necklace. It became his trademark. The reason for this is the fact that it signified schizophrenia. What most people don't know is that the actual lighting bolt pendant on the necklace is from is a ring that Elvis Presley wore. That is the only connection I see.
JEAN HARLOW: I believe the one you're talking about is the one that goes: If you're looking for trouble You came to the right place If you're looking for trouble Just look right in my face
I was born standing up And talking back My daddy was a green-eyed mountain jack Because I'm evil, my middle name is misery Well I'm evil, so don't you mess around with me
~ The name of that song is "Trouble"
And yes the thong was purple. I mixed it up with Cybil's bra after the first time she sleeps with Mike and Mike asks "so do i owe you anything?"
-------------- You never have trouble parking when you drive a forklift...
Because he wasn't reconized as the illegitimate son of Elvis Presley. After all that the cops and murph went through, Murphy asked if they reconized him now.

What why and when was this movie written, shot, and acted out by a real boring mainstream cast of people?
I know, this qeustion kinda makes your first impression "that he's a hater" but trust me, I'm not, just a regular smart arse with a question..I really really would like an answer to.
sorry about the delay in answering this, I've been busy.

“What was this movie written?” I’ll change the what to who and add the word by. The movie was written mainly by Richard Recco, and also co-written by Demian Lichtenstein.
“Why was this movie written?”
First of all, the movie’s writer. Richard Recco, is highly unknown in the cinematic world. 3kmtg is the only movie he has ever worked with… and he used to be a electrician in Brooklyn, NY. Chances are the music-video director, Demian Lichtenstein, was a friend of Mr. Recco. I suppose he personally requested it. This brings up to question, “Why did Lichtenstein want to write it then?” As most people know, Demian Lichtenstein is a top-grade music-video director. He wanted to make a movie that combined the visual effects of music videos with the action-packed plot of a film. I guess the actual plot just became the idea that grew into a script. And thus came 3000 Miles to Graceland.
“When was this movie written?”
It was written in 2001, same year as it was released. If you are maybe wondering because the costumes look like they’re from the 70s, but no. The actual script/plot was written in 2000/2001.
As for the cast….
I’m sure Kurt Russell was chosen because of his role in ‘Elvis’. Kevin Costner was chosen because of the extent of his acting ability shown in the movie.
The rest just comes from auditions…

An underage person is able to smoke. If he's under 18 then he's not going to die the instant he smokes. It's also legal for someone underage to smoke, but it is ILlegal to buy cigarettes.
And when he threw up, he ripped the filter off the cigarette. Therefore hes basically swallowing pure tobacco... that'll make him throw up

Have you obtained the answer to my question yet that you weren't able to give above?
And I understand what you mean when you said you feel a connection to his character, So do I to a extent for some odd reason. I really enjoy the movie myself and I respect you for being such a big buff on the movie and anything involving it.
Re: Michael's necklace...take a closer look, boys and girls, there's a "TCB" clearly visible around the lightning bolt. The famous catch-phrase from the King was "Takin' Care of Business". An' thankquuu very muuuch, baby"
hey man im impressed by ur knowladge of this movie and my question should be easy i dont konw if anyone asked it but what is the techon-ish song that plays during the hiest of the casino as they walk in and start shooting and please can u tell me where i could download it from.
When they are in the helicopter and the black man is bleeding, there is a really cool song playing, like a mysterious electric guitar and really emotional. It also plays on the intro of the DVD. Do you know what that song is and who the artist is?
When was Murphy's birthday? He was a medic in Vietnam, but when his birthday was mentioned, this would make him just turning 18 when USA pulled out of Vietnam. Seems pretty young to be a medic.
ALso, what was the name of Mike's lawyer in court (both the character's name and the actor's name--he looks very familiar)?
Well first of all, I suppose this DVD doesn't have any features other than cast + crew and trailer is why anybody wouldn't put extras in a dvd... they were lazy and/or they were pressed for time.
murph's b-day was january 8, 1955. Actually, that would make him 14 when he served in Vietnam... this is a factual error. I guess it's the only time they can fit in all the events in Murphs life in under 50 years. The error is addressed in the "Goofs" section of this movie.
Plot holes: A voiceover explains that Murphy was born in 1955, and served as a medic in Vietnam from 1969-70. 14-year-old kids did not serve as medics in Vietnam
The lawyers name was Otto Sinclair. 1-800-1-GO-FREE. The number doesn't work though lol.... I tried.

in the wharehouse murphy's friend is dying and he asks 'was ur dad really him?' and then he says something else i think he said "mine is john wayne" am i right or what did he say?
Great topic! And one of the coolest, most under-rated movies in the last decade! What's the song that starts playing at the 5:20 mark of this youtube clip? (if you don't get the clip, it's when Murph sticks his head out of the window and unloads on a bunch of cop cars with the M60) . . . .??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tql6j-Mqx40
This Teaser was created by the filmmakers as a "show reel" to give the stars of the film and the studio a taste of the film while it was still in editing. It was not intended for public consumption, but provides an inside look at how films are shaped in post production and features takes and scenes not used in the final film.
During the scene where the U.S. Marshals find the bodies of the other 2 robbers, one of the forensic guys pics up a smashed .45 slug. One of the marshals says "vest.." implying that someone got away because they wore Kevlar.
later you see Kurt Russel removing 2 slugs from his vest, if these 2 slugs were still in his kevlar, then where did the one at the crime scene come from? plot hole, correct me if im wrong.
