No I'm not saying she is the greatest Actress, because she's not to high on my list. But for an Actress whose movie credits doesn't contain the most highly thought of roles, I think she deserves some credit for this movie. She had to have a lot of pressure, I mean who wouldn't being in a Scorsese film. Anyway any thoughts or do you agree???

shareI don't think she was Oscar worthy or anything, but I think she's solid in the part and that it's her best performance. I probably would have cast an actual Irish actress, but she wasn't terrible and she certainly didn't "ruin the movie".

I typically don't like her at all, so i had lowered expectations. But I gotta say she did very well.

shareI blame the costume designer more than her for all the hate, most of her costumes looked like some extravaganza out of "Moulin Rogue", rather than something a 19th century woman would wear.
That doesn't mean Diaz herself was good, she tried but she was lifeless and unconvincing. But her outfits were worse.
SHE WAS GOOD BUT DID STICK OUT A BIT.
