It was horrible one moment he would sound Irish and the next American fml it was terrible same with Cameron

It was pretty shaky but I still thought he gave a solid performance.

The accent was pretty uneven, and it was especially noticable in the long voice-overs. But I don't think he does accents very successfully. I have yet to see a performance where he did an accent that really worked.

I think it would have been better if he had simply not done an accent.

His accent in Django was decent.

What about The Aviator? That Texas accent was great.
His Rhodesian accent in Blood Diamond was excellent.

He's gotten a lot of praise for nailing the accent in Blood Diamond.

If you think about it, it kind of works because he was born to Irish family but lived his whole life in the US. He wouldn't have a very full accent, ya know?

i thought it was uneven on purpose. it'd make sense knowing the characters backstory.

He's a good actor but his accents always stick out as "Leo doing an accent", were as you don't know where in the hell DDL is from unless you look it up.

I don't really agree. I think his accents, while not totally perfect, work well. His performances are usually so good you barely notice a small tweak in an accent. In my opinion.

I thought his accent was pretty spot on. His performance was next to flawless.

I think that was intentional, just bad character writing.
