Amélie dubbed, PLEASE!
Like Amélie, I enjoy looking at the details in the background of a movie, but I can't do it while reading the subtitles. I wish there was a dubbed version of "Amélie".

WTF? Why? Why ruin a movie with dub?
shareFrench is the way to watch it
sharei will never understand you guys, NEVER.
shareI really cant imagine this movie with out the lyrical lingo.
shareOr you could just start learning French... Seriously, dubbing is the worst possible crime we can inflict to a movie, it is literally raping a significant body of work. The only instances I find dubbing acceptable, are films aimed specifically for children who cannot yet read, and the films which were meant to be dubbed from the beginning, such as Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Westerns and the early Hong Kong Kung Fu -films, where dubbing creates a unique, if yet exaggerated atmosphere. So, SAY NO TO DUBBING! And speaking of successful dubbing, I must admit that when watching for example a film like Studio Ghibli's "Porco Rosso" - I must say that the various dubbed soundtracks have a remarkable impact how well the film works, with slight shifts in nuances. Hayao Miyazaki has said himself, that he prefers the French dubbing (with Jean Reno as Porco Rosso) over the original Japanese, and on the other hand the English dubbing with Michael Keaton as Porco Rosso has a slightly different impact on the very same film you see on screen.
shareTake the movie as is.
shareIt's simple- read the subtitles faster.
