Male cheerleaders?

Are they're any in reality? Cause I don't see male cheerleaders in a SoCal public school, I know a cheerleader and she says guys are not up for that and that male cheerleaders only exist in movies.

In high school it's pretty rare. My old high school tried to get male cheerleaders but no one tried out. Our college squad has male cheerleaders though. They seem to be more common in college.

I have seen male cheerleaders at some colleges, not in high schools. Maybe some high schools have them, but I have never seen it.

just wanted to say...know this is a old topic, but we had a couple male cheerleaders in my HS.

I was, most recently in a sports clinic..pom poms too..also originall in the 19320s-30s a lot were (though there is in one of the VERY FIRST Popeye cartoons in 1933, Olive Oyl being a cheerleader).
