I love Roswell with a passion, and everytime i re-watch the series, it just bugs me to death how crappy season 3 was because of KH! who cared about Isabelle and her husband! who caresss!!! she looked 30 in the episodes, and i know its been said before but i just wanted to express my anger. Season 1 was the best season ever, but every time i watch end of the world i cry my eyes out. anyways, any of you out there still a bit angry when it comes to season 3?

It is widely known in all of Hollywood that KH has the nastiest stage mom around. Her mother bullies people to get her way and it appears her daughter inherited that trait.

Personally I think Katherine is an amazing actress and I loved season 3 just as much as seasons 1 & 2. No matter what you think of Katherine as a person she was excellent in this show and she deserved the extra screen time in my opinion. All the actors were equally fantastic and I think the writers did a great job of giving the actors their fair share of screen time. Everyone had their time to shine at one time or another.
I also think it is unfair to be so critical of the writers and producers. Roswell was always under constant threat of cancellation and the writers must have been under so much pressure to please the fans and the network as well as give the show a proper ending each year incase the show did not get renewed. Throughout season 2 the network wanted more sci-fi but some fans did not like this so the writers tried to balance the drama and sci-fi equally throughout season 3 and I think they did a great job.
If the ratings had been higher and Roswell was safe from cancellation each year then maybe the writers would have written the show differently but in my opinion Roswell was always amazing. Watching Roswell now, I think this is still one of the greatest shows to ever be on television and it is still really sad that Roswell did not get another 2-3 seasons when so many shows go on past their best.
