Home Movies vs. Metalocalypse

To anyone who asks what do this very different shows have do with one another, well they were both created by the Brendon Small who I think is the best animation writer on television.

So which one you think is better.

It's hard for me to decide since I love both shows so much but I'll have to go with Metalocalypse because I love how they manage the intense continuing storyline with all the bizarre and witty humor.

I can't compare the two. Home Movies is my fix when I need random humor and inane conversations that normally wouldn't make sense but just works for the show... then Metalocalypse is my random humor mixed with lust for blood and violence.

"No, it's just loud."

They both have similar sounding music, but I like Home Movies better. Metalocaplypse is good too.

For me, it's:

1. Metalocalypse
2. Home Movies
3. Lucy, Daughter of the Devil (In actuality, though, three and two are tied, lol. I just can't choose. Metalocalypse is definitely at number one, though.)

agreed.

I'm probably a little biased towards home movies, since I've seen every episode. Out of the handful of metalocalypse episode I've seen, I've found it extremely funny and enjoyable. It's a little harder for me to sit through due to the graphic violence, that doesn't mean I don't like the show because of it, I just have to be in a certain mood to sit through it, but I've never been disappointed

I'm definitely going with Home Movies but I really love both shows.

All three are great. Brendon Small is brilliant. However, I would have to say Home Movies has the longer-lasting humor, even though it is dryer than Metalocalypse. The dialogue is so well done. Metalocalypse is almost a one-trick pony, as funny of a show as it is.

I wish that AS would get rid of Home Movies and put The Critic in it's place.

I love home movies and really don't like metalocalypse. I get sick of the ultra-violent stuff that is supposed to be funny. Seeing a guy's eyeballs burst out of his head? Yeah, that's hilarious.
The thing I like about home movies is that it is subversive while at the same time having a laid back positive kind of humor. Metalocolypse seems really one demensional, like it's all the same joke: stupid metal heads and people being mutilated. Home movies is very subtle and has a lot of really intelligent humor.

You have to be a metalhead to really understand how ridiculous Metalocalypse is.

I'd definitely have to go with Home Movies on this one. That being said, I absolutely LOVE Metalocalypse.

I refuse to compare the two. They both rock.

However, if somebody held a gun to my head and forced me to pick one, I would pick Metalocalypse for sheer ambition.

When one takes into account the continuing, intricate story arch, the incredible Music, and the quality of the animation, Metalocalypse is a much more impressive show.

That being said, 'Home Movies' has an awesome charm and innocence to it.

Not a fan of Metalocalypse at all from what I've watched, so Home Movies hands down.

I've tried to like Metalocalypse, I really have! But I don't find it funny or even mildly entertaining. Love Home Movies, though!

Also, I do agree that Lucy, Daughter of the Devil (with a lot of the same talent) is a great show. I wish it had been given another season or two to really stretch.

Loves both, but ams going to have to goes with Metalocalypse. I listens to many types of Metal music, and the violence is so cartoony (literally and conceptually) that its doesn't bothers me.

Listens to Decency Defied (Cannibal Corpse) uns thens watch Dethfashion, you'll sees what I mean. You knows it.
