Seems like extreme anti-heterosexual propaganda.

A gay star and a gay director team up to make a movie where every heterosexual is a neurotic mess, heterosexual fathers are either psychopathic closeted gay murderers or irresponsible child-molesting stoners. Hetero women are either abused doormats, teen nymphettes or nagging, cheating shrews, AND the only healthy, well adjusted couple in the whole story are the two gay joggers.

If this isn't anti-heterosexual propaganda I would be curious to see what is.

reply

I think you will be curious for a long time...anti heterosexual propaganda ain't a thing.

reply

Except for this movie, that is...

Imagine the outcry if a heterosexual director and star made a movie about totally dysfunctional and out-of-control homosexuals with the one heterosexual couple in the film shown as happy and stable by contrast? What would that be called?

reply

"What would that be called?"

"Almodovar´s latest movie", maybe?

reply

Considering the number of anti-gay films that have been made and the amount of anti-gay propaganda out there, tough tittie.

reply

You are right.

reply

You seem triggered into being a victim while calling everyone else one.

Typical M.O. of the MGTOW/INCEL movement.

You guys think you're the only ones who know anything about masculinity and devise online counter campaigns against companies like Gillette or Starbucks because they "attack" your manhood or have convinced you that they are out to get Donald Trump.

reply

MGTOW and incels aren't even close to being the same thing.

reply

Not exactly the same but share a lot of core values

reply

Everything is anti-heterosexual propaganda these days.

reply

Um the most fucked up person in this movie was the closeted gay man who murdered the straight character for spurning his advances.

reply

Yeah, but the reason he's so effed-up is because -- according to the movie -- he denied his homosexual desires all his life. The neighborhood gay couple, by contrast, is portrayed as healthy and happy. Meanwhile all the heteros are fudged-up one way or another.

So it's definitely anti-heterosexual, pro-gay propaganda.

reply

Lol yawn

reply

Yawn, what? The evidence from the film itself proves the point. It was plain-as-day the first time I saw the (overrated) flick back in the early 2000s.

Not to mention the writer's gay, as well as the film's star, although the latter was closeted at the time.

reply

Yeah if I think back to 1999 the one thing that comes to mind was the rampant anti-heterosexual agenda everywhere (this is sarcasm in case anyone couldn't tell).

reply

I'm just pointing out the obvious (from facts in the film itself). Apparently you didn't get the memo.

reply

No wonder it won the Oscar for best picture. Make a movie about gays and insane people (is that being redundant?), and you're guaranteed one of those empty, pointless rewards.

reply

gays and insane people (is that being redundant?)
Are you saying homosexuality is a form of insanity?

reply

Sam Mendes is not gay. What the hell are you talking about? The screenwriter is gay, though.

reply

Lol how so? Come on!
