The best film I've ever watched
I've never watched a film so moving yet so subtle. The acting was amazing and so was the simple yet very deep story.

shareYes. This film is a true work of art-pure poetry
shareI highly reccomend you watch some Jon Jost films then. Similiar vibe.

Love the story, and must say the scenery shots are so beautiful, made me want to visit these mid-States
And the people that Alvin encounters are being so nice which I am surprised because me living in a city, could never experience things like this, talking to strangers, inviting them to dinner/drinks... I wonder if people live in these rural areas are really that friendly to strangers?
I completely agree with the OP. This is one of the best films I have ever seen too.
I am still surprised that a film that is so slow paced and in which so little happens could be so involving, so moving. Richard Farnsworth was so brilliantly cast as Alvin, and David Lynch proved what immense talent he has.
This will always be in my top ten list. An absolute gem.
Agree with the OP! One of Lynch's best films...
Prostitute: What the *beep* are you doing?
Johnny: I'm gonna kill a bunch of people.
It's at the top of my list as well.
