what? the horses don't talk???

when i went to see it, i thought the horses were gonna talk. they didn't and this made the movie boring. DON'T MAKE AN ANIMATED MOVIE ABOUT ANIMALS IF THEY DON'T TALK!!!!!

That's precisely what I like the most from this film: Animals don't talk, just like in the real life.
Frankly It was quite refreshing to see for once an animated film where animals doesn't talk.

I wasn't surprised considering the film was made by Dreamworks. It was probably intentional on their part to make Spirit look more sophisticated. If you consider the other 2D films were darker in tone and more adult appealling (Prince of Egypt, Road to El Dorado, Sinbad). They figure that by not making the animals talk they could grab more adult fans.

I'm not bothered after seeing the final result. Talking animal movies these days have been pretty bad. I think they did the right thing here. If they made the animals talk then they might as well have made it an adult comedy or whatnot.

If this movie is so great it's also thanks to the animals NOT talking.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)

Talking animals has become cliched. This film was at least original in that regard.

It honestly caught me by surprise, I had no clue they wouldn't talk. I think this is one of the few animated movies where the animals don't talk to each other, it's pretty unique.
