Everyone seems to think that because it is an animated film its a Disney film and the animals have to talk. That doesn't have to be the case. I admit that when I walked into the theater that I thought it was unusual that the characters didn't talk, but I thought that the film was better because of it. I think that the message of the story was got across very well through the characters reactions and pyshical movements. Since that was the case, the audience had to pay attention to the animation and this put you into the story more than if you were "told" by the characters. You actually had to pay attention to the minute details and work to understand the story. I know, crazy isn't it! Just because an animated character doesn't talk doesn't mean the film is a failure, if nothing else it is a wonderful change of pace.
