Offensive
Ive never seen people treated so poorly and poopy
shareThis show is not a documentary about how people should treat each other in real life. In sitcoms, it's traditional for friends and family members to treat each other like shit.
shareBut this was TREATING EACH OTHER so so bad and mean, and she cut him off sex stuff for motnhs at a time
shareHey, this is tame compared to the TV show Shameless, where every character is a horrible person.
shareYeah but this is supposed to be nice clean family and friendly fun and cleaned assed too. Like families can sit down and watch it and get their family annual port folly jollys together.
shareWhen I think of family shows, though, I think of shows like The Andy Griffith Show, Leave It to Beaver, The Munsters, Gilligan's Island, I Love Lucy, etc.
shareGreat. You're now just discovering this show that's over 20 years old?? If you're really offended by it, watch the episode where Doug convinces Carrie, his wife, to get a Stripper Pole in their Bedroom so she can dance for him.. Pretty good idea if you ask me??
shareThat episode is hilarious 😂
shareMaybe. It's such a well written and acted show. So many great characters.
shareIve never seen people be so crueeeel to each other in bad ways
shareYou mean when she pushed Doug down the stairs?
shareThere's lots of shows where the characters are cruel.
The King of Queens
Everybody Loves Raymond
Shameless
Married... With Children
Seinfeld
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Parks & Recreation
Breaking Bad
Better Call Saul
The Sopranos
Apples Never Fall
Yellowstone
Sons of Anarchy
Plenty more
King of Queens overall had warm and funny characters imo. not mean ones. Carrie could nag a lot, which they took too far in some episodes, but overall she was fine.
Married With Children was basically a black comedy. I think that's what made it different and stand out. They may have been cruel, but it was done in a witty and charming thanks to having a great cast.
Everybody Loves Raymond I didn't think had mean characters, just annoying ones.
Breaking Bad was a violent show, I think its characters suited its tone. Same with Sopranos
