how old are fans?
I was just wondering how old fans of this movie are? whether you were the same age as the characters/older/younger?

shareI was 23 when it was released.
I was 25 when I first owned & start re-watching it on dvd. I could somewhat relate, it's tuned to a 90's universe.
I was about 21 when it was released And have loved it since I first saw it then - I'm 34 now.
Also love the comic.
Walter Sobchak: Am I wrong?
The Dude: You're not wrong Walter. You're just an a*shole.
I was 9 when it came out. I first saw it in my early teens and really disliked it, I found it boring and tedious. I then caught it on late night TV three-four years ago and it immediately hooked me and really changed my mind. I have watched it once or twice a year since, most recently saw it yesterday. Still really like it. I'm now 21.
shareWhen it came out in 2001, I was 42. I'm now 56. I loved it then and I love it now. It's one of my fave films of the past decade!
shareI'm 64 and just saw it today for the first time. I liked it a lot.
Schrodinger's cat walks into a bar, or doesn't.
I was 43 when I saw GW on release and I love it more now than I ever have - it's one of my top 10 movies, a classic. Love when Enid wants to follow the Satanists and when Seymour says "Jeez-us!"
shareI first saw the film about 8 years ago at the end of my 40s. I'd missed it on first release and watched a library DVD of it. I'd read the original comics in Clowes's Eightball in the 1990s, so I got into it from that angle.

24 or 25 when I first saw it. 37 when I re-watched yesterday.
I wouldn't call myself a fan, but I do rate this movie (and this type of movie) highly.
I first saw it in 2004 on TV when I was 14, but I didn't get it. But then I watched it again about a year later and really enjoyed it, and then I watched it for a third time a few months later and I've loved it since. I was about 15 when I really enjoyed it, I guess it spoke to me at that age. I've never managed to get anyone into it though, despite telling them how good it is! They don't believe me.
shareI first saw Ghost World when I was 65 and loved it. It's funny, insightful and surreal on so many levels. I like the characters. These are people I have seen and known in real life. The movie inspired me to get the graphic novel it came from. That is great as well.
I feel that anyone of any age can watch and enjoy any movie ever made, if they have an open mind.
