Who could possibly replace him?
Or would they just end the show?

For real though, I am rewatching Parks & Rec on Netflix now, and just discovered that this guy has the absolute best voice: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1476601/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
Looks pleasing enough for TV, too.

shareWell, I found who it won't be https://thejeopardyfan.com/2017/11/sorry-buzzy-cohen-ken-jennings-wont-next-host-jeopardy.html
I'm actually disappointed because I was hoping for Buzzy but, obviously, that will never happen.
Jim Carrey.
shareThe show could end. If it continues, if a male it will be someone new at this type of job that we never heard of, if a female....and this makes me shudder...Meredith Viera.

shareApparently Trebek himself name dropped Laura Coates as a replacement a couple years ago. I do like Coates, but she never struck me as someone hosting a game show.
share They should hold auditions. I'm sure there is some talented unknown out there who would be right for the job.
Just "please Lord!", not a woman. I'm a female myself but I can barely tolerate women game show hosts except for Meredith Viera.
That screechy, melodramatic Brooke Burns all but ruined The Chase for me. What an obnoxious drama queen. I used to mute her every time she spoke.
Elizabeth Banks could be interesting. She's great on Press Your Luck. She's funny w/o being mean.
shareAs long as a TV network can make money on a show they will do it.
The show will go on, and continue as long as they can find a host that
is as pleasant and innocuous as Alex Trebek. Seems like these days
they will have to go to another country to find someone like that ...
like Canada where Trebek is from.
