Well, hopefully I'll achieve something in my lifetime, so I'd play happier songs.

1. "Old Man" by Neil Young
2. "We Are the Champions" by Queen
3. "Heroes" by David Bowie
4. "Fire and Rain" by James Taylor
5. "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough" by Michael Jackson

I'll make him an offer with the force while possessed by a demon, and being eaten by a shark.

"Rock And Roll" by Led Zeppelin. Because heaven is where I can learn, finally, how to play that drum solo at the end.

"Pancho+Lefty" by Townes Van Zandt. Favorite song by favorite troubadour

"Boulder To Birmingham" by Emmylou Harris

"Rainy Day Women #12+35" by Bob Dylan. Because a mix tape should start off by rocking and then kick it up a notch. Unfortunately, my next two picks didn't kick it up so now I gotta bring the energy level back up.

"I Don't Wanna Grow Up" by Tom Waits.

I almost considered putting a type of negative song on here but I'd rather have a more upbeat feel at my funeral so I left off most hard rock......

Lake of Fire by Nirvana or The Meat Puppets

The River of Dreams by Billy Joel

Back In the High Life Again by Steve Winwood

Estranged by Guns N Roses

The Walk of Life by Dire Straits

My mother-in-law passed this week. Here is the list of songs that were played at her funeral:
The LSU fight song
Laura's Theme from Dr. Zhivago
Red Red Wine - Neil Diamonds
Music Box Dancer - Frank Mills
It had to be you - Rory Partin version
Our Town - Aaron Neville
Forever in Blue Jeans - Neil Diamond

reply

golden slumbers - the beatles
julia - the beatles
starman - david bowie (theres a starman waiting in the sky.... beautiful)
exit music (for a film) - radiohead
shine acoustic - muse.

Man that list is hard to choose. I do prefer things a little faster and rockier, but I guess if proably not 100% appropriate. Gutted.
