WORST MOVIE EVER. Yup, worse then Gigli.
HOLY GOD, this movie was awful. End of sentence. And Sarah Michelle Gellar is one of my favourite actresses! Horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE!

No, it's true. This movie really is quite terrible...and yet, there's something magnetic about it, that just makes you keep watching. I like it...but it's terrible.
shareOkay I loved this movie....SMG is awesome (Im a buffy fanatic) Im a wicca so that might have altered my choice a bit....so yea...."Im not a witch" "If the broom fits, ride it."
shareI am not a fan of SMG by any means. I love Buffy but don't enjoy watching SMG act, and even I bought this movie!
It is bad writing but like you said, magnetic. It is corny fun not meant to be taken seriously. I found it in some bin for $4.99 and find it is a great movie to put on when you need sound in the background or when nothing else good is on. It's meant purely for escapism--plus, it gave me the idea of caramel eclairs. YUM

hahaha I totally agree. It's a really bad movie, but I watch it at least once every month-just to check to see if it still sucks-but I CAN'T STOP WATCHING IT!!
shareit was a pretty bad movie but i think sarahs hair style and color was one of the best shes ever had.
shareI Liked this movie alot ;) Very cute and innocent.

I agree. I never even heard of the film before, but it was of television last night and after seeing the preview I was curious to see what it was about. And I loved Sarah as Buffy, so, it instantly got my attention. And I have to say.. it was not bad at all! It was light and fun.. fresh and sweet. Like the caramel eclairs Amanda made in the film! :P I did think they could have thought of a different way for her to get her 'special powers' though. Something less crabbie, hehe. :P
But I did really enjoy the film. I love a good romantic comedy every now and then. This one reminded me a bit of Practical Magic with Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock. Also a good one. :)
''Cake or death?''
''Cake, please.''
''Thanks for flying Church of England.''

Yep i agree, it was awful. It wasn't the cast's fault, the script was just so bad. I mean a magical crab? Whats that all about!
shareI don't get why people (the magazine and the general public) hate this movie so much? It's kinda cut and sweet, it reminds me of Bell, Book, and Candle
(although I'm not a huge fan of that movie.) It's a silly little fanasty movie, it's not Oscar material, but it's not the Toxic Avenger either. Give it a chance.
Please, this movie is not worst than Gigli. This movie was very cute, I liked it. I was like 11 at the time, but I still liked it.
☼Love is patient, so why aren't you?☼
I'm agree. This wasn't worse than Gigli. I've watched Gigli, and it sucked. OMG, please, don't remind me... But as it has been said earlier, this movie is CUTE and MAGNETICAL and... TASTY. I mean, as a plot (man and woman loves each other and they live happily ever after) was very.... typical. But as I said, the best word that discribe this film is TASTY. After it, even thouhgt I don't like cooking very much, i wanted to do some cooking miracle. Oh gosh... The pearches at the end and those .... pies(?) yam! Oh, it's too wonderful. Well, who cares about o grab? It's just the reason.. but the rest is pretty good. I'll give this movie 7 points.
shareSince I've never seen Gigli, I can't comment on that, but this movie was pretty bad. What was up with that crab? And that weird guy at the beginning? And so many other things? There were just far too many threads that didn't go anywhere and didn't come from anywhere, and nothing was explained at all. Dealing with magic, I'm usually fine with that. Just say, "Oh, it's magic." Fine, I'll accept it. As long as I know where the magic is coming from. Is it coming from the crab? From herself? What? SMG's acting was like all the most boring, dull parts of Buffy. I saw nothing in that character that I hadn't seen in Buffy, and not even the cool or interesting parts. But the main problem I see with this film is that there is basically no conflict. Conflict drives drama, and even romcoms need some of it. The one conflict they do have (the guy freaking out about her being a witch) is easily fixed with some flashbacks to earlier in the movie. The 'climax' isn't. No conflict at all. In fact, they could have done something interesting - will she take a job at the store for lots of money and prestige, or use her new-found skills to save her family business? But nope, that's not an issue at all. Some people may like a movie where nothing bad happens and everyone lives happily ever after, but there's not much there to keep most people interseted. Yes, we like the happy endings, but there's got to be a little trouble before it to make us appreciate it. Anyway, that's what I noticed.
shareHmm, I've never seen "Gigli," but from what I hear, people were practically lighting up the torches and gathering pitchforks. I have, however, seen many other crapsterpieces (i.e., movies that are so bad, they're almost funny), and this is definitely towards the top of my list. As many people have already pointed out, it makes no sense, and has many little bits of 'quirkiness' thrown in for seemingly no reason. Also, am I the only one wondering WHY, exactly, SMG's character fell for that yutz? There really must've been sorcery afoot if HE seemed like a great catch...
Ok, before the five or six fans of this movie come hunt me down and slap me, I will say that the set designs were somewhat interesting (that swirly floor reminded me of those '60s 'sex comedies'), and SMG's wardrobe was cute and fun to look at. And...um...well, IMHO, it's slightly better than both of the "Scooby Doo" movies, and quite possibly "Glitter."
Anyone else want to share their list of 'crapsterpieces'?
This is the best movie SMGs eva been in!!!!!!
