I still don't like Tony's sister, but between the three you mentioned, I say AJ. He seems too dim to be interesting, and I don't think the young man is much of an actor. And like Tony's sister, it's kind of a thankless role. Neither of them are meant to be very likeable.
shareI'm almost done with season 4 and I have to say that every single character is annoying in one way ar another. Almost all are hypocritical whiners who are criminals or condone a criminal lifestyle. And the kids are complete brats. But that's okay, because a well written annoying character can be very entertaining. Even if they're despicable, like Janice or Ralph. They don't even need to have any redeeming qualities.
But there's been one HUGE exception to this and that's the freakin' one-legged chick from Russia. She's horrendous! I have no clue why Tony wanted to fuck her. And that says a lot about her! I actually sympathized with Janice because she's so awful. And that says a lot about her as well! I just laughed and laughed when Janice took away her prosthetic leg. I wish they'd kill her in the most terrible way possible!!!

shareI thought Dr. Melfi was the most annoying. True, she was an integral character at the beginning of the series but after that whenever she came on I fast forwarded through every one of her scenes. Honorable mention goes to the fat gay guy.
PS: I thought Janice was a great character, another female in Tony's family that caused him great grief.
I agree that Melfi sorta was a burden on the series. They had the interesting sub-plot where she got raped in a stairwell and told Tony about it. She knew there was a good chance he was gonna get iced. I like the actor who played her hubby, but that just seemed like an unnecessary distraction, like since they were paying her they had to give her something to do.
Nothing against Lorraine Bracco, (actually I would like to have something against LB), but she doesn't really leap off the screen.
I liked the Russian. She took no shit. No idea what you found so extremely distasteful about her. Her cousin on the other hand was annoying.
shareEverything about her was distasteful. Giving everybody shit is not the same as taking no shit. She had a gigantic chip on her shoulder. No idea how one can like her.
shareI do appreciate that we can watch people who aren't like Clark Kent and Lois Lane, i.e., good, unimpeachable people. None of them are good people. I think Van Zandt's character is about the only guy who comes off as being smart enough not to let his emotions get the best of him. He's a little dim, but he's a good soldier who doesn't eff up under pressure.
shareJanice by many miles. Almost everything she did repulsed me. She was narcissistic. The way she took advantage of her mother and how she manipulated Bobby’s children to get to him was disgusting.
Janice was also useless and created many problems.
I will admit that she got better towards the end. But she was still annoying as hell.

to me Tony's mom, his sister, his wife, AJ and Meadow, so basically his family.
whereas all the guys from his crew and the other characters are fun and exciting to watch.
I think the creators did that on purpose, the huge contrast, his family all give him shit all the time because they have the power to do they dont risk anything, but all the other people from his life are nice to him because he is the boss and basically dont have any other choice.

For me it's Noah Tannenbaum - Tony hate him for the wrong reasons (racism) but he really annoying. He talk to Tony the first time they meet like Tony he some film students at the university and not the a dad. He's arrogant, self-righteous.
The other annoying character is the son of Doctor Jennifer Melfi - he's such morbid and annoying guys, I want him to shut up every time I hear him whine about how the world is so cruel and dark.
Also Meadow, she's such a spoiled princess that think she's better than anybody.
