Still holds up
It really is a shot by shot masterpiece.
shareThis and "Man on Fire" are my favorite DW films. And he made many excellent movies.
shareYep i watched it recently and i cant think of a bad scene. I watched on my ipad when the power went out and it was still cinematic as hell.
shareAgree. One of my favorite films. It’s a drama, mystery, suspense, police film. But I also consider it a road film in many ways. I’ve visited Los Angeles a few times, and I always love driving around the area, kinda like Alonzo and Jake did. I often recall “Training Day” when I go on those joy rides around Los Angeles. Echo Park (where Roger lives) is a place I like visiting.
Can’t wait for Covid to end so that I can make another trip
I watched this the other day. I've always found it a little too on the nose. But it's kind of supposed to be. It's a great movie. I wish it was a little more ambiguous. I feel like this movie is meant more to expose truths that that go unspoken, more than be a story unto itself. I mean this movie has a lot to say!
shareIt does a great job of depicting many Africoons and Hispanshits.
