Can honestly say that i have never met a person who said they did not like this movie. For me it is in my top five movies of all times and will remember this movie for a long time!! So, who doesnt like it?

I love it but I don't think it's the masterpiece everyone claims it to be. I still think Monsters Inc. should won the Academy Award for Best Animation Feature instead of this film.
What I like about this movie is it's kind of like a fairy tale for adults with adult humor and I think that's why it can still be enjoyed.

You don't know me, and you probably wouldn't want to because I didn't like the movie and you loved it, but I found the toilet humor offensive, and I changed the channel after about 10 minutes. You asked :).

Let me go over it again so you can remember the entire scene...Do you mean him reading a fairy tale in the outhouse, then coming out with TP on his foot and then taking a shower in mud then then him passing gas in the mud hole then grabbing a dead fish that died from his noxious gas, then brushing his teeth with what he squeezed out of a slug then smiling in his mirror, thereby breaking it? You mean THAT toilet humor? Is that what you found offensive?

shareI love it myself. Also it seems to be an unpopular opinion but I really like Shrek 2. However I didn't like the ones that followed it; they should have just ended it at part 2.

shareI found it a good movie and haven't met anyone in real life that hated it. Of course, IMDb has a rich diverse body of people and nearly 4000 people despised it (according to the rating system). Each to their own.
